Tying The Girdle Bug

The good old Girdle Bug! Simple to tie and highly effective all year long where ever stones are present!  

Materials List

Hook - Any Nymph hook size #2 to #10 standard length shank or 2X 

Bead - Size appropriate for your hook in black, gold, nickel or copper 

Thread - 6/0 or 140 denier 

Body - Chenille, you can use variegated or straight colors

Legs - Small to medium sizes rubber legs. Use a stiffer leg such as Rainy's round rubber legs or MFC's Centipede Legs

Whip Finish 

UV or Head Cement
