Born on the river, ready for whatever. First sold in 1978 as a better way to tie down gear and frames on whitewater rafts, the NRS 1" Heavy Duty Strap is known the world over for its incredible strength and versatility. The ultimate DIY tie-down solution, every boater, outdoorsperson and homeowner should own an assortment of sizes.
Unlike clunky ratchet straps and cheap imitations the NRS Strap is strong, easy, fast and simple with unlimited usefulness.
UV-protected polypropylene webbing won't stretch when wet and delivers an impressive Minimum Breaking Strength (MBS) of 680 kg.
Custom cam buckle features dual stainless-steel springs for a strong, even bite that won't slip, ever.
The strap size is prominently indicated on the buckle so there's never any guesswork.
Iconic Blue straps keep with the traditional design with the strap size woven into the webbing.
A woven name tag near the buckle lets you reclaim your straps from friends who borrow but don't return.
Hidden bottle opener on the buckle aids one of the most popular "strap hacks."
All sizes sold in pairs.

PRODUCT TIPS
Here is a great tip for protecting straps at highway speeds: anytime you are using a tie-down strap on a vehicle—where a section of the strap is not directly against something—put a twist in the strap in that area. This helps eliminate strap strum, the rhythmic vibration of the strap in the wind. Under the right conditions, this strum can generate enough energy to actually melt or fray any part a strap. This also helps cut down on noise.

Excellent shop!
They've got anything you could need. It's a huge selection, which is surprising for a small town shop. They're amazing people and Collin can answer any questions you have. His knowledge is impressive.

Incredible preparation & professionalism
I recently spent a weekend with a close group of friends fly fishing along with Colin and team - incredible preparation & professionalism, quality camp equipment and fishing gear and just a first class operation overall. I would and highly recommend RMFS to any and all fishing skill levels interested in enjoying themselves on the water. It was a really positive experience for our group.

The prices are fair and shipping is lighting fast
Congrats to Colin and Tammy on the move to their new location in downtown Olds! The prices are fair, they have a great selection and the shipping is lighting fast. Best sticker offerings I have seen south of Red Deer as a kicker.

I had a fabulous lesson with Jordan from Rocky Mountain Fly Shop
I had a fabulous lesson with Jordan from Rocky Mountain Fly Shop. We went out on the water and he tailored the lesson to my experience and skill level. We touched on casting, fly selection and an introduction to reading water. It was all hands on and I walked away with the confidence to try new things this summer. It was a perfect morning and I'll definitely do it again.
